"I did the installation with an IA standing over my shoulder coaching and checking.

Here's a brief history, which will show why I like your product so much: The flap indicator has been a sore spot with me for a while. I had the early 1965 version (the transmitter and gauge appeared to have been changed in July of '65 according to the service manual drawings). I had recently taken the plane in for an engine overhaul, and decided to have the airframe annualed while it was there. The mechanic said my flap system needed attention. The flap motor and switch was replaced. The flap indicator started acting up after the other stuff was fixed. One of the mechanics must have been looking at the schematic for the newer version wiring, and promptly toasted the transmitter trying to "correct" the wiring. I sent out the transmitter to be overhauled (another $285), and it came back with a coat of spray paint over the entire unit including the first 2" of wire closest to the unit! (by the way, same wire, same sta-kons that were on it when I shipped it out) The rhesostat was still smelled burned. It promptly burned up with the "corrected" wiring previously mentioned. An exhaustive search yielded no results attempting to find exact replacement parts, until you came along.

When we installed your unit, it was a much better experience. The instructions and schematics were very clear and simple to follow. The wire numbers matched, and no modifications were required as everything was a perfect fit. The engineering on your product is impressive. The indicator is also very easy to read at a glance. I no longer have to look over my shoulder and out the window to double-check my flap position.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,
